The Zombies!!! layout we used for our last 2P game. I incorporated the Z!!!9 Ashes to Ashes cemetery expansion and the light scenario was that the helicopter pilot lay dead in the graveyard with the chopper keys in his pocket. Each player started from a point midway between the cemetery and the helipad, and on opposite sides of the game board from each other. A race ensued to get to the dead pilot first, through the zombie horde, and then, key aquired, back through the city to the helipad and to game victory. Starting each player in different spots - rather than together on the town square tile - meant that we were much more able to use the zombies as a direct threat without hampering our own progress. Also, player vs player combat was fun when the player holding the key became the target for the empty handed player. I won, naturally, and I can see prelaid maps with a scenario being the way forward for faster, funner Zombies!!! gaming sessions.

Because this is my blog and I can do whatever the Hell I want, I’m skipping Popping the Question part two for now and jumping straight into my thoughts on my very first board gaming session for 22 years, the first time I have shaken a dice since 1990’s Embarrassing Incident, in fact.

Before I get started, though, I have recently realised that Dice Bag is a really shit name for the blog. I settled on it by frustrating accident after my first twelve preferences were already taken. Taken, incidentally, by idle fucks who don’t even update anymore!

I’m looking at you, cardboardcity!

So… Dice Bag. Sounds a bit like ‘douchebag’. And I think it’s grammatically incorrect, anyway. It should be Die Bag (which sounds like a threat) because the plural of.. oh, you know. I could argue that the bag in question is only to be used for one dice, but if that were really the case then why would I need a bag in the first place? Hell, I’ve only been playing boardgames for two weeks, I don’t even own a dice bag… die bag! Whatever!

The point is, ‘Dice Bag’ is way too fucking ambiguous to be practical, alright?. Tweet me (@SonAndGames) with a replacement. Something puntastic. The one I like best wins, obviously.

Okay, shufflers. Let’s get shuffling. Zombies!!!
